Arrival in Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Mzimba Adventures' team will warmly welcome you and facilitate your transfer to your hotel either in Arusha or Arusha town. Here, you'll have the pleasure of meeting your safari guide, who will provide you with essential information about the upcoming safari adventure. Your guide will brief you comprehensively, ensuring you're well-prepared for the journey ahead.
Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Depart from Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Covering an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers, Tarangire is the sixth largest national park. It is renowned for its large population of elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. Enjoy lunch at the Matete picnic site followed by a short game drive en route to the lodge.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, where Louis and Mary Leakey conducted pioneering excavation work in the 1930s. Enjoy lunch after visiting the museum, then proceed to Serengeti National Park, which spans 14,763 square kilometers of grassland plains, savanna, riverine forest, and woodlands. The park lies in the north of the country, bordered to the north by the Tanzanian-Kenyan border, where it is continuous with the Masai Mara National Park reserve. Embark on an afternoon game drive before driving to the lodge.

Explore Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day game driving in the Serengeti plains. The vast treeless grassland of the south is the iconic scenery of the park, where hoofed animals like zebra, gazelles, impala, buffalo, and wildebeest roam in large numbers during the wet season. Kopjes, granite formations common in the region, serve as observation posts for predators and refuge for hyrax and pythons. Enjoy lunch in the middle of Serengeti before returning to the lodge.

Serengeti National Park to Ndutu
Embark on a morning game drive in Serengeti until lunchtime, then drive to the southern Serengeti-Ndutu area.

Main destination: Ngorongoro-Ndutu area
Explore Ndutu
Spend a full day exploring the Ndutu area, where the migration animals are expected to be during the rainy season (February, March, and April). Witness the plains transform after heavy storms, attracting migrant wildebeest, zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and other animals. Look out for lions, cheetahs, hartebeest, and dik-dik.

Ndutu to Ngorongoro
Embark on a morning game drive in Ndutu before driving southeast to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at the rim of the crater for a spectacular view and stay overnight at one of the Ngorongoro Lodges overlooking the crater floor.

Main destination: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day crater tour. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world's largest caldera, offering opportunities to see a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, and if lucky, the near-extinct black rhino. Enjoy lunch inside the crater before ascending to the lodge.

Return to Arusha
After a leisurely breakfast, drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay or airport drop-off. (Accommodation can be included upon request at an extra cost)
