We will pick you up from your accommodation in Moshi around 10 in the morning, embarking on a journey of approximately 1.5 hours until we reach the Kikuletwa Hot Springs, also known as Maji Moto or Chemka Hot Springs. Upon arrival, you'll have the freedom to tailor your experience according to your preferences.
Feel free to take a refreshing dip in the water, although it might surprise you to find that the water isn't hot as expected, as it originates directly from Kilimanjaro. You can also explore the surrounding area, where local boys showcase impressive diving skills by jumping from a rope into the water. Alternatively, indulge in some local delicacies such as chips mayai or chips kuku—an omelet with chips or chicken and chips—while relaxing in the shade of the magnificent palm and fig trees.
Around 4 in the afternoon, we'll commence our return journey to Moshi. The drive back offers its own scenic delights, as mentioned earlier. While part of the route follows a paved road, the remainder of the journey takes you through picturesque countryside via dirt roads. Along the way, you'll encounter dry riverbeds, towering baobab and acacia trees, quaint villages, Maasai herding their cattle, and remnants of old, disused railways, all contributing to the captivating scenery.
